I recently obtained a clamshell iBook from extended family for free, and have been taking stock of what I need to do to fix it up. One of the top things on the list is the keyboard, and eBay seems to be slim pickings at the moment. I saw another thread saying that the Lombard PowerBook keyboards will work, but do any other non-clamshell keyboards work, like the later G3’s?

(Also if anyone has any leads on a clamshell dvd drive, that would be cool!)

Pismo keyboards are also compatible but that's your lot. The later snow iBooks are not compatible. Your choice is basically to find parted out Clamshell keyboards or live with a bronze keyboard from a Powerbook G3. Clamshell keyboards or anything Clamshell has been either hard to find or very expensive for quite a while now.

The usual sources are eBay, The Bookyard (UK), PowerbookMedic (US) or PCHub (Singapore). Maybe Facebook Market and local ads/Goodwills etc. Realistically, eBay is your best or only bet for this. Set an alert and be patient.
