iBook G3 DC-in board in an iBook G4?

Can it work? I found the part I need in my closet from an iBG3 and if it worked that'd just be great.

I have the same question, did you tried this?
My apologies for posting in this kinda old thread, but I have the same problem.
I have an G3 iBook DC-In Board, so I think it would be nice to use as a replacement for my G4 iBook.
