I was just given a iBook G3 800mhz machine ... it needs a new motherboard ... I can find complete refurbed machines but I having a difficult time finding a replacement part ... can someone direct me to a website or give me some advice regarding how to get the parts to repair the machine?

I highly doubt you will find it worth it to refurbish a G3. A G4 of the same clock speed is already a tad laggy. So basically you'll be paying like $100 to get a crappy computer. You might say that you'll be getting what you're paying for, but you iBook will also be used.

BTW, how do you know it needs a new motherboard?

Thanx for the information ... the person that gave it to me had a tech checkout the machine and was told its the motherboard ... thought if it was cheap enough I would repair it and use it awhile but I may just look for something a little newer.
