I have an iBook that won't boot up, unsure why. I've had it a while but I lost the charger, recently I decided to buy one try and fix it.

Tried turning it on but wouldn't boot up osx so I reinstalled it with a OSX disc that came with it, the installation completed and then restarted. Now it won't boot up.

Before and after the reinstallation it just shows a grey screen with a mac classic icon in the centre and a spinning disc in the corner.

Any one got any ideas?

Thanks,

Does it bong? If so can you see a very faint, dim image? If so, it'll be the inverter cable that killed loads of iBooks...
