iBook G3 Vs. TiBook

So i'm looking into getting a used laptop, the two i'm considering right now are a 900MHz G3 iBook 14" or a 500MHz G4 TiBook, both have 256MB Ram, and they both cost the same, what would you prefer, and what do you think is going to preform better?
-And i will upgrade RAM as necessary so disreguard the seemingly small amount

I'd say iBook because it's newer. The G4 you listed is pretty old and I believe it has had some manufacturing errors back that old. Like keys being imprinted on the screen, Battery falling out, optical drive being finicky, hinges breaking, paint peeling, etc.

The iBook will also get better wireless reception

I agree. a G4 is normally a better choice but the G3 is 400mhz faster in this case which would make up for the no altivec. go with the ibook.
