doess the 256= 128 ram onboard..??

and what kinda ram sould i be looking to buy??

last but not least...i downloaded rtcw on this ibook..but turned down all settings.as i am not that bothered..as in terms of gfx..but am concerned about its shifty movement once alot happens on screen..
1-is this the ram problem?
2-hdd not spinning fast enough?
3-gfx card onboard not good enough?

That's not a lot of RAM at all. I'd see if you can max out the memory, as I think it uses up to 1GB, right?

Also, Most modern games run choppy on old G4 systems. I saw Apple's requirements, but I think those are the bare minimum.

so what kinda ram am i looking for..

1-confused between ddr sodimm 2100-2700??

2-but after this ram booster all should be well..?

And to answer your question- 128 is onboard/soldered and 128 is in slot. Max of 1.125.

You have a 32mb Radeon 9700 video card, too.

so after installing new ram.i should be able to play rtcw
..?

and all should be much sweeter..??

as u can tell i am a total newbie to macs

muchos gracias peeps:)

anymore suggestions!!??

1-will the ram upgrade really take away the stuttering gameplay?

2-and what other 1st person shooters i can run once i have the ram upgrade,...!!
