iBook G4 and GB--what's the latest scoop?

After reading MANY old threads regarding this issue, I was wondering what's the latest opinion as regards the adequacy or inadequacy of using a G4 iBook as opposed to using a PB with GB. I'm looking at buying the new 1.2 iBook 14 inch (and maxing out its RAM), but am concerned that not getting the PB might limit me 2-3 years down the road...any thoughts?

the new ones should handle it just fine...pb obviously better but the ibooks should have to much of a problem...unless you have like 30+ tracks
