i don't think this is right section...

that being said, maybe where you live $300 is good asking price? but here on vanc craigslist i can find for $150ish...

Well, the software included with it puts the price up I got the computer only for 150, and the restore disks for 100, and with the other software bundled into it, I thought it would be good. Sorry- I didn't know about the ebay thing. Won't happen again!:D

If you got the puter for 150$ without the disks that belonged to it you made a bad deal allready.

Paying another 100$ for those replacement disks also doesn't seem to be a good deal (well on your side atleast) :p

Doubt this one would go over 150-200$ if it was an auction...

Replacement disks cost 15 to 30 USD, why are they suddenly worth 100 USD? If it would be Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard on a Retail DVD, then it might be worth 100 USD, though you would get more by auctioning it off separately.

And that iBook is not worth more than 100 to 150 USD.
And Office 2004 can be had for 20 to 50 USD via eBay.
And as you don't include the license to iWork, only the installed applications, that is worth nothing, as that is violating the EULA.

Good luck, you will catch some ignorant fool anyway.

Well, thanks for the input, guys. If it doesn't sell soon, I'll knock the price down.

Also, the restore disks are for tiger, and I am selling them for the price I got them for.

They are not "restore" discs i.e. the gray Panther 10.3 discs that originally came with your computer.

You would do better to sell the RETAIL TIGER discs or disc that you have separately.

I owned that very same computer for like one month in late 2005, but it does not have the sudden motion sensor/scrolling trackpad/USB 2.0 and built in 512 memory that the final 14" 1.42ghz iBook has.

It's an okay computer. Some of them did not have built in bluetooth either.

My early 2004 G4 iBook had USB 2.0, though only 10 to 15 MB/s fast, and one could add two-finger scrolling ability via iScroll2, which was still better than any current Windows PC trackpads I have tried while browsing the electronics stores in my area.
