I have 3 batteries for my ibook G4. One is the original and the other two are from another ibooks g4's. Mine is a 2005 ibook. The other two batteries are from a 2002 and 2003 ibook. The model numbers are different on all of them but they all fit into my ibook. They are are all 10.8 volts. The original one to it charge up fine. But i don't want to burn up my ibook if something is different with the other two batteries. Like wire different inside the batteries. The one is new old stock and never been open or charged before. I know the two are dead. Well thanks for the help.

All 12" iBook batteries, G3 or G4, are interchangeable. No need to worry about damaging anything. The same goes for 14" iBooks. All of them are interchangeable with the other 14" models.
