iBook G4 clicking problem

I have my trackpad and my bluetooth mouse. my mouse and trackpad keeps failing on me. i can move the mouse around but i can not seem to be able to click at all. I have tried disconecting the bluetooth mouse, reconecting it. closing the lid, opening it. I in the end had to shut down by pressing the button and pressing enter.

i really need some help here. Sometimes i am doing important things (well to me of cource) and it stops. this is a great problem and help would be greatly appricated.

What brand mouse is it and are you saying you have the same problem with your trackpad?

i have a macally mouse and my trackpad stops working too.

So i just have to reboot my computer and lose most of my work.

Does the trackpad ever behave like this if the mouse isn't connected?

not normally sometimes but more often when i am using my mouse

Well, I'm just thinking whether it might be a driver conflict. Maybe disconnect your mouse for a while (or use an Apple mouse) and see whether it acts the same way. If it's a Bluetooth mouse, then make sure it's not still connected by turning it off.
