So i had my ibook plugged in to the wall (and had a full charged battery) and then out of no where the power went out and instead of the laptop staying on like it should have with a full battery, it just shut off.

Now when i try to turn it on I get nothing! Doesn't make a noise light up anything!

Has this happened to anyone?? whet should i try to get it working again!

thanks in advance

If it suffered a power surge, it could be almost anything on the Logic Board that blew out. I'd like to hope it'd only be the DC-input board, but that's being very hopeful.

This is exactly why I always make sure to plug in to a surge protector and not directly in to the wall.

Ouch mate, sounds like something in there definitely was hit :\

If you feel keen on tearing into the bugger, might wanna take it apart to see if there's anything obviously fried in the machine. If there isn't, then it may well be tine for a new laptop. Sorry to hear about your iBook mate, they're still nice little laptops.
