Hello,

I recently ran the system updates on my mothers ibook G4 and now it hangs at startup. It boots to the gray screen with the apple logo then just hangs there. It doesn't even get to the spinning cursor thing. Up until I updated it, it was working perfectly.

I need to fix this asap because I'll be blamed for ruining my mother computer and will never hear the end of it, lol.

I should also note that my mother purchased the computer from a local school and it didn't come with any installation disc's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

is it running 10.3? I used to get problems every couple months with panther.. like kernel panics and start up problems. after i upgraded to 10.4 tiger, i haven't had any problems since.
