Hi all,

So I have an iBook G4 12" 1.33mhz 40GB. It's still under AppleCare until April 2009. My hard drive is starting to pack up on me and I'm thinking of taking it in to get replaced. What I wanted to ask all of you was, has anyone done this before and has Apple replaced it with a hard drive of the same size or bigger? I mean its 40GB and a bigger drive would be nice to get but I don't really see them giving a bigger one. Then again, who still makes 40GB hard drives??

Thanks,

:apple:Matt

They'll either replace it with spares stock, or with the next available higher size. Keep in mind that you are not assured of getting new replacement parts - they may be refurbs. You'll have 90 days warranty on the part or to the end of your Applecare, whichever is longer.
