There are three connectors that need to come off when removing the top of the case. Be EXTREMELY careful when removing these. Use something to wedge between the connector and the header that will also hold the header down. The headers on these machines were attached with very thin strips of solder, and over the years, it seems that the connection becomes very tenuous. My trackpad header popped right off the board with very little effort; just light prying of the connector and off it came.

I really wanted to swap my SSD into this machine and have a nice portable PowerPC machine to carry around, but now I'll just look for a good 1.5 ghz 12" Powerbook and just recycle this thing...
