H happybusdriver macrumors newbie Original poster Apr 15, 2010 3 0 Apr 15, 2010 #1 I replaced my Ibook G4 HD (which I assumed was bad) but upon installing OS 10.4 I can only get as far as "select destination".... and I'm not given any options to choose from. Obviously it does not recognize a HD. Any help?

Intell macrumors P6 Jan 24, 2010 18,956 510 Inside Apr 15, 2010 #2 You need to format the new hard drive. Under the Utilities menu at the top choose Disk Utility and erase the new drive. Then try installing as normal.
