iBook G4 HDD dying?

Hi. I have a iBook G4 1 Ghz with 640MB RAM ,90GB HDD with OS 10.5.6 (Cant upgrade it for some reason). It sometimes starts up, but mostly gives the folder with the question mark. i did a system check with the OS DVD and it says nothings wrong. Is it the motherboard or is it the Hard drive?

I had this happening all the time too, a new HD should suffice.

ok thanks! does anyone know where to find a cheep HDD and a place where someone can swap it?

Any HDD under 250GB should be fairly cheap, and the process to open it isn't that hard and will save you a fair amount of money too.

They have parts and manuals so you can do it yourself.
