Do the "Sleep" option from the blue apple and when I hit the power button do the same thing as when I close the lid? Thanks.

Yeah, when you close the lid the computer should go to sleep. So if you are on the move or just going to bed, close the lid, and go. Then when you want to use it again, open it up and boom, you are back to where you were.
