hi

if i get an ibook g4 with 1.2ghz processor and 256mb of ram to upgrade the ram to 1gb do i just take the 256mb out and replace with the 1gb or add to it

thanks

sam

If you have 256mb now, you have 256mb soldered to the logic board, and the DIMM slot is empty.

Just install a 1GB RAM stick and you'll be at 1.25GB.

It'll make a world of difference with the ram upgrade. I call my 12" (pb) the apple netbook.

i bought a few days ago a ibook g4 for that use. 1.2ghz 768mb ram,etc,etc ... and it's more useful than a netbook...

PS: it's my first mac :D
