I have had my g4 for about two years and all of a sudden the thing decided that it's not going to turn on anymore. Power is getting to the machine and a certain amount of whirring is heard but not the signature Drrrrrrrrrr! as it starts. The screen remains blank and would stay like that all night if I let it. The only thing I did differently before this appeared was to take it to work in a different bag a few times. Rucksack before, Side bag(more vibration).
Please help me........
anyone....x

I had a similar problem last year. It was the logic board. It was replaced under apple care. It wouldn't boot, no start up chime, it would receive power to the battery but still wouldn't let the computer start up. I hope that isn't the issue in your case. But some people said they took the battery out, waited a while then put it back in and it worked in some cases. Worth a try at least.

Best wishes.
