Question.

My sister's G4 iBook needs a new CD-RW/DVD drive, and I know that pretty much any slot-loading one for laptops will fit it. Well, I mean, I'll make sure it fits, but that's not the question. I'm wondering if I buy a PC slot-loading drive and put it in the iBook, can I use Patchburn to get it to play nice with iTunes and DVD Player?

Thanks!

Yes you can use a PC slot loading combo with patchburn, that would work fine as drives are all the same size and use thge same connections therefore it will work fine.....

Installing the drive will be hard but if you have the know how then go ahead...

Well, I totally destroyed a G3 iBook last time I tried to fix one, but, uh... I'd like to think I learned enough from that to fix this G4 one! Specifically, I learned not to stab the logic board with a screwdriver when mad.
