hello people.

i was trying to get flash player for my freshly installed tiger system on iBook g4 (1.33ghz, 1gb, 40gb) , but adobe's website only provided versions for intel macs. so my question is WHERE can i find the recent ppc flash player for my iBook?

presto, it's the interwebs to the rescue!

Flash Archive on the adobe site would be a good place to start. :)

you might want to use the search box (above and to the right) with something like 'tiger flash player' to see all of the thread on that very topic, and ongoing discussions on which version is best. best of luck.

The latest version of Flash 10.2, does not work on PPC. Abode has completely dropped support for it. The latest version for PPC is 10.1. You can download it here: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1_archive.zip Its a massive file comprised of all the 10.1 releases. After you download and unzip the massive file, open the 10_1r82_76 folder, then install the flashplayer10_1r82_76_ub_mac.dmg one.

try TENFOURFOX browser too and enjoy the internet again , its a fantastic browser and flash player 10 works better too on it , as it enabled 240P watching without any stutter on my iMac G3 700mhz 16mb vram..and yes 240p is plenty good enough for youtube videos
