As you can tell from the subject, it's about an iBook G4. It's a 12" 1.33 GHZ G4, the last or second to last revision I believe.
Anyway, I recently got it back from an ex girlfriend (I didn't steal it back, she bought a new macbook) and I had originally given it to her 2 years back in perfect order. The HDD seems to be slowly withering (which I plan on replacing) and for some odd reason the computer can't store the date, time, brightness level or audio level. They all get reset to maxed levels, and the date keeps going back to 1969. I'm aware there is no CMOS battery in this, only a capacitor. I was curious what can cause this even though the battery is never out of it, and it spent most of the last 2 years plugged in. Any advice would be appreciated, I'm trying hard to keep this old relic alive.
Thanks!
