For the iBook G4, you want DDR SODIMMs. Everything but the latest revision had PC2100 memory, the latest revision before they stopped making them used PC2700.

So just get some PC2700 DDR SODIMM's, should work a treat :) I always use Crucial :)

I absolutely avoid Crucial because of their overpriced RAM and unsavory business practices.

I trust OWC and DMS for my RAM purchases. Both are very highly recommended on MacRumors and both have online wizards you can use to guide you to the correct RAM for your machine.

I actually have a 512mb iBook chip that I took out cause I upgraded my machine to 1 gig. If you're interested in buying it off me drop me an email/Private message.

I would also reccomend that you go with RAM from either OWC or DMS NeoNmaN. :)

can i put more in 512 ram in my iBook G4 as standart?

In the iBook G4 you can put up to 1.25 Gigs of ram. There's one easily accessible slot (with a tiny screwdriver) under your battery. If you put a 512MB card in there you should have a total of 768MB of ram (I think I did the math right :p ).

The online wizard mentioned by Wildcowboy can be accessed for OWC here.

Cool :) i have 512 DDr PC 3200 in my IBM laptop can i put it on my Mac Laptop? :)

Nope. Latest iBook took: PC2700 DDR-SO 333MHz

Your ram would fit in several power macs, mac mini, G5 iMac, and eMac.

for any ibook you have what you need to get is:

ddr2700 1GB 200 pin non buffered non eec.

this will work with any ibook G4.
