Hey,
I have a great iBook G4, but after working with it on my lap it got hot often. After a ton of research I found it had a temp sensor (ADT7460) and I found an application that can show the core temp. It reads as high as 55.3degrees Celsius. I know from my windows days that this is pretty darn hot for a chip to get. Are mac chips more tolerant of heat than Intel? And if not what can I do to keep my processor temp down.

Thanks

My iBook G4 has hit 75ºC during extreme gaming or DVD ripping and it's never had a problem. :)

I remembered a 'warning' printed on the manual of my sony hometheatre receiver..it said " Do not touch the top as it may burn your hand":D
