I know, I know this has posted many times before but

My iBook is currently running at 71˚C.... that's HUGE!


Anyone wanna help me with anything I can do to help it?
 
for me personally I havne't read much about iBook's having heat problems, its always been the smaller form factor powerbooks .....

Call Apple... Not normal.

71C is way to high, I'm not good with apple comps, but that is not a normal problem. Call Apple, it could potentially do serious damage.

I live in Canada, and also the 1 Year Warranty is not in effect anymore, seeing as I've had it for over a year. I have also not purchased AppleCare. How much do you think a thing like this would cost to get fixed? -_-

If the Apple call is going to cost lots of money, etc... I may aswell buy an "iBreeze" I think it is called...

That is true. Does calling apple cost money? Maybe it might be the 'firmware' or whatever controls the fans. Maybe the fan is dead. I don't think I heard it when it was that high in temperature. It usually turns on -- but only over 60˚C
