I was @ the apple store tonight, and I know ppl have said this thousands of times, but the guy said the iBooks would have detachable iSights. Just putting it out there.

Yeah... there's no real point in including a detachable iSight, unless it's some sort of compact model for notebooks. Even then I can't see Apple bundling it with the new iBook, when it could be sold seperately to keep the iBook cheaper. Not to mention the profit they could make on selling a new peripheral seperately.

Sorry, but Apple Store employees don't have any inside knowledge. They are 100% in the dark until Steve-o announces it. (There's a reason new product isn't at the store the day of announcement. It's so store employees can't leak it the day before.)

whatever. I thought it was bogus also, but i didnt know they were completely in the dark. Just puttin it out there.

WOW, thats exactly what i said a couple of days ago. ill find the thread.

EDIT:

EDIT: I do wish that if they do decide to build in an isight, that it should be optional or removable. Think about it. You push a button on the bottom or side of the screen, and it pops out, and you can replace it with a metal piece that fits perfectly. That could work for the people who can't have cameras in work or dont want them.
