iBook Keyboard Issue

I recently installed a new keyboard on my iBook G3. The conector seemed to fit properly, and the installation seemed to go fairly smoothly apart from me loosing one of the two Ram Protector Clip cables.

However, the keyboard does not work. Is there are torublshooting advice you guys could give?

Actually, the mute/unmute button works, but none of the other keys seem to.
