Does anybody know where the cheapest and most reliable place to purchase a replacement logicboard for a revision B 14" 933 mHz ibook? I have determined mine to be gone and it is not covered by applecare. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

ah yes... i did :)

did you talk to your homeowners insurance? or renters?

this will be spendy, as you have found out.

maybe worth more in parts my friend, I will speak for the HD as long as fido's fluids have been cleaned off :)

Yeah it will be pricey, but I narrowed the problem down to approx 10% of the logic board. There are a few blown resistors which are really tiny and I have not the expertise to repair. The hd is functioning as is all the other major components but the logic board just got shorted out and power will not run through it. And yes it is cleaned but if it comes down to it you all will get first dibs on the parts before i ebay them.

bet i could clean it up so that apple could not tell that a dog pissed on it if you send it to me i could try

I would just part it out but clean the bits before sending them

you could market it as " ibook parts piss cheap"

i have the expertise to repair tiny resistors i'll take the board
