iBook m6497 - OS X 10.3.9 - iTunes

How can I get itunes on this? When I tried to download it, it said I need 10.4.9. Can I get tiger or leopard on this?

Tiger will work but it might be time to get a new Mac.

This is a 600MHz iBook G3, right? It should support Tiger -- you can probably buy a copy for about $20-30 USD... otherwise, iTunes 7.7 runs on Panther...

Probably could get Tiger on there. It'd be slower though. You'd probably be better served with a newer Mac.

I'd had iTunes 4.7.1 installed; and I just installed 7.7.1. Couldn't have been easier, and it works fine.
And the runner-up is still available: Audion, from Panic Software. (For free, of course!)
