iBook multiple-monitor span hack

I would like to span my iBook to a extra monitor, not just mirror it. Is there a hack or software that will let me do this. This is a iBook G3 dual USB(800mhz)

I used (when I had a G4 iMac) screen spanning doctor. This worked REALLY well and, if my memory serves me ok, also enabled "hidden" resolutions for the external monitor.
