I currently run the last of the iBook series the 14 inch 1.42ghz G4 with 1.5GB of RAM. However as much as I like the enhancements that Leopard does offer there are some problems I can't seem to solve.

1) Why does the CPU never go to 0% like it used to in Tiger whenever i wasn't running anything?

2) What does Syslogd do? It always seems to take up the most CPU here and there.

3) And this is no big deal but TIME MACHINE crashes the iBook

If anyone has any solutions, that would be a great help and I'm sure this would help any other of the last remaining iBook users.
