iBook Network and trackpad

I just inherited a bluetooth/airport enabled iBook G3 500. I want to use it primarily to surf, but right now I have a wired network. Can anyone recommend the best way to go wireless? I just need that one access point. I'd love to have a little device I could take with me to work (that's all wired too). Would something like this work:

Also, the trackpad fails every now and again. Can you get a replacement, or do you have to send it to Apple for repairs?
