iBook not getting any smaller

hi Guys

I made an iBook. This iBook is too large for my opinion. It's about 140 MB. A partial explanation is that at first I just threw in the images without changing them to a smaller resolution. I dragged the new images in, hoping they would replace the old images.

Using info the name of the new image is being shown. Strange enough the iBook does not get any smaller. Is iBooks Author keeping the bigger images somewhere? If so, how can I get rid of them?
