my ibook is not starting up it stays on a gray screen with a small folder with a question mark I ran the hardware test it turns out every thing is fine, I ran the osx cd repair the disk it didnt let me repair itr so I completely deleted evewry thing and reistalled but still nothing what could it be ??????????

What did it say when you couldn't repair it? Did it give any feedback? This is using Disk Utility on the OSX discs, right? Does it make any clicking noises?
