I have tryed to start up in safe mode nothing happend. I also tried to startup up from the cd nothing. I know that the display isnt dead. I tried to reset the power thing pmu. PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP

Yeah, it sounds like the infamous motherboard issue. I'd call Apple.

Also, try posting in the Hardware forum next time, your post will get more attention.

Thanks

Thank you for replying. I guess I will have to call them I am not sure if I have applecare on this product. I dont think I do I will call tommorow to double check.

thank you

I have a TiBook and the exact same thing happened to me. The only problem was that the battery wasn't completely settled in the computer.

Before you panic, just try taking your battery out and reinserting it snugly.

O thanks

I have tried that already the battery is fine. Anyway I have it pluged in. So I dont think it matters.

Well that could help you out a great deal. When you call them, don't say that the computer is more than a year old. Tell them that you have many computers and you can't keep track of the purchase date. Then tell them something like "its no more than a year old, probably less" Just keep it cool and you should be fine.

BTW, I have done this before.;)

Thanks so much

I hope it works. I will call in about 10 mins and reply back and tell you what happens afterwards. thank you so much

When you call, they will ask you if you have applecare extended warranty, and you say no. Then they will probably ask you when you bought the computer and you less than a year ago.

Then, tell them your problem and they will take it from there.
