Ibook power cord won't plug in

I had to replace the apple brand power cord about 3 months ago and now the 3rd party won't plug in. It's as if something is blocking it. It all looks the same.
After replacing the harddrive, I am up for anything if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this.
