Ibook screen problems?

My blueberry 300mz Ibook screen has a color shift to a green tint when I begin to close the Ibook. Everything looks fine if it is at the 90 degree or better level but as soon as I close it, whammo... it shifts. This is not the sleep mode either. It has just started to do this over the past few days. Can anybody point me in the right direction for what is wrong with my machine?

I don't know much about the ibook clamshell versions, but my roommate's dell laptop has a similar problem with tones and such depending on the screen angle...and we've diagnosed it most probably as a pinched video cable...that might be a good place to start.
