Ok, I actually have two problems. The first is that the DVD-ROM drive on my iBook SE has stopped working. When I put any disc in, it spins up, but then immediatley spins down, so I know it's connected, but the computer doesn't register it, and even System Profiler doesn't see it. Now, I have no problem taking apart my computer, as I had to do so to upgrade the hard drive, but does anyone know any solution besides bringing it in? The cost to buy a new unit is pretty much the same as having it repaired, so I don't know if I want to go that route yet. (Before you ask, the drive stopped working before I ever opened up the computer.)

Second question: Since I have no working DVD drive, I can't open the Apple DVD player, but I have a VIDEO_TS file that I used DVD Backup to make a copy of on my other computer. Since I have about 25 free gigs I was hoping that I might at least be able to store some movies on the computer and watch them like that, but if I can't open DVD Player (since it can't find a DVD drive) I'm at a loss.

Thanks everyone, if you have any answers it would be greatly appreciated.
