I tried connecting via s-video but the picture quality was not sufficient for browsing the internet on the t.v. If I connect the iBook to a VGA monitor however, the quality is fine. Is there any way to connect an iBook to a tube HDTV set?

What kind? If it is CRT or Prijection, it probably won't have anything other that Componnet and composite inputs. If it is plasma (one of the rare HD type) or an LCD, it probably has both DVI and VGA. Bad news is, some only have DVI, and you iBook only has an analog output. So if it has VGA hook that up, run the hack so you can get a better resolution and your golden. If only DVI, you should have gotten a powerbook with that HDTV.
