ibook unable to connect to Buffalo WHR-HP-G54

I recently picked up the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 router. It works great with my PC laptop over wireless and with my old mac that it is connected to. But it will not connect to my ibook. I have the 1.42 G4 ibook. The ibook sees the network, but every time I try to connect to it, I get the error message unable to connect. I am able to connect to my neighbors wireless network (don't know what router they have, also not sure where they live). I have friends who have the same router and it works with their macs.

What I have done so far is to try all the different channels 1 - 11.

Any ideas on how to get my ibook to connect?
