ah ok i'll just post the specs on both of them

the HD is Western Digital Scorpio 80GB 2.5" Mobile Hard Drive - EIDE, 5400, 8MB, OEM

and the ram is 512MB PC100 CL2 2-2-2 LowProfile 1.25 inch(non-stacked)2-2-2 So-DIMM

thanks for any advise.

Both are good. You can actaully max out the HDD to a 120gb EIDE/PATA and with the 5400rpms, you will definatly see an improvement in boot speed and tasks that read/write to the hard drive.

The memory is good too and that will max that out. Your Tangerine iBook will be good for many things that doesn't require too much processor power.

While your at it, if you havn't already, you should also add a DVD drive and an Airport card too for wireless connectivity.

thanks...i already have an airport card in it...and a dvd drive isn't that much of a deal.....i was also wondering however, with the hd and ram upgrades how well would it run osx with a 300mhz processor? Thanks for the responses.
