iBook Users With iLife 05'?

I have a question for anyone who has iLife 05' with my model or similar model iBook. When you use iPhoto 5 with the VGA adapter, do you still get all the editing options despite the fact that 16 megs of the video card memory is split evenly between the external monitor and ibook screen?
