iBook will charge only when it wants to...

Hi all,
My iBook G4 has been acting up lately. It charges only when it wants to, and when it's not charging, the iBook will run on reserve power when it says it's running on A/C power. It also tends to make a buzzing noise near the upper left speaker when it's not charging properly.
I reset the PMU and now the problem isn't as inflamed, but it's still lingering.
Please help!

Does the charger stay lit when its plugged in? Or does it flicker out? Could be a few things, maybe you should try a different charger first and see if that makes any difference.

I should also add that it is cracked; I'm assuming now that it's broken.
Shoot, it only lasted me a year.
It stays lit, but just goes to that weird color (cross b/w orange and green). This must be it then!
