well it does charge just not how it should. when i plug the ibook into the power adapter usually nothing happens. i have to jiggle the plug in just the right way to get it to charge and this involves putting pressure on it in some direction. it has gotten worse so now i have to have constant pressure on it for it to charge. i have tried 2 different chargers so i know its not that. i was thinking maybe the DC board but i was not sure. what do you guys think?

also it is out of warranty and no applecare

any help would be great

Thanks

does it turn on without the battery in?

if so then you need a new battery

.. if not then you need a new a/c adapter cord

**EDIT**
^^^ ignore that, sorry i didnt read fully

sounds like the a/c reciever is bad ... dont know if that is soldered on or not though...

Thanks

yeah my suspicions were correct
i just replaced my dc in board and it now charges without a problem

Where can I buy a new DC power board for an iBook G4 14"? This iBook is the last in the iBook series. Thanks
