Why are the books in the UK iBooks store so expensive?

I thought they were "competitively" priced against Kindle and traditional paperback books??

I wanted to purchase Harlan Coben's latest novel 'Caught' but at £11.99, no thanks.

Think I'll stick to using Kindle for now as their books seem to be much cheaper.

Anyone bought any books from iBooks yet?

Well before anyone blames Apple and or Steve Jobs they have nothing to do with this. It's probarly due to agreements that publishers have with Amazon for the kindle.

They may not be allowed to sell to anyone else at a cheaper price other than amazon.
