iBooks Disappeared

Just like the title says, very strangely when I opened iBooks this morning most of my books disappeared. Does anyone know a reason for this and a fix? Barely used the iPad since the last time I used books, only thing in between was a sync that appeared to go normal. Help would be appreciated, thank you.
