How does the iPad remember what you highlight? I assume it doesn't put the info in the .epub, but does it sync with iTunes? e.g. if I remove a book and put it back would I lose my highlights?

Thanks

Probably metadata.

I once removed a book then put it back, and it remembered where I was in the book. But i installed a book in another iPad, and all the highlights I'd made didn't show up. So I think there's some kind of metadata file it keeps on the iPad.
