Hi:

When I open iBooks, the main window, where all books are listed, is usually clear with the text in blue. However, it sometimes turns dark. In the books, when I'm reading, I can set up the "auto night mode", but the behavior I'm talking about happens when I'm in the bookshelves.

Is this a bug? If not, how can I turn this trait off?

"If you’re reading in low light on your iPad or iPhone, iBooks for iOS automatically switches to white-on-black text on your screen. When the light improves, iBooks automatically switches back."

It carries over to the bookshelf as well. Turning off the auto-night mode will make it clear.

Thank you.

Can't that be disabled?

No, because the bookshelf changing is part of the auto-night mode. If you don't want the bookshelf to change, you gotta disable that, but then the books themselves won't adjust anymore.

Even when I disable the auto-night mode in the books, the bookshelf keeps changing.

Yes. The bookshelf background is blurred / transparent and will show the colors of your homescreen background. I think this is the same with Newsstand as well.

That's not the problem. The menus turn black too.
