Hi guys, new iPhone owner here, I got an iPhone 11 Pro Max for Christmas and I'm going to be going on vacation in a few days where I won't have much internet access. I uploaded my book collection onto my iPhone and I notice all local copies have been replaced with cloud copies, I need to click a little cloud icon to get them to download onto my device again.

How can I stop this? I won't be able to download my collection unless I'm at a wifi hotspot and I'd like to be able to read in bed.

I just download them all at once whenever I have access.
I know that's not an ideal answer, but I've yet to find another.

iBooks seems...different since they split up iTunes. I'm having a helluva time syncing my local media with my iPad mini, while my iPhone Pro syncs just fine.

I'm having the syncing problem too :(

It worked briefly but it's stopped again, none of my ebooks show up in finder to sync with my iPhone. I wish there was a concrete, definitive answer

hell, my books are in the finder box and checked, they just don’t sync to the iPad mini.
