I have lots of books on ipad and have an issue

when i read a book and go back to the library. The book closes and goes into the whole book list. Now when i go back into the app, i have to scroll to find it or search for it which is time consuming.

I know the other way it just close out of the book and when you reopen ibooks takes you to the spot you were in.

Is there a way to have the books you are reading on top of app or some sort of sorting

If you hold down on a book, it will highlight and you can move it anywhere on the shelves you want.

It's not entirely obvious, but ibooks has a feature called 'collections' that lets you split your books up onto separate bookshelves. I have the normal list (with hundreds of books, so I know *exactly* where you're coming from!), a 'Read' collection with books I've finished, and a 'reading' collection with my current books. (I tend to have a novel, plus something 'more challenging' that I tackle in smaller chunks, plus a programming book of some kind. Plus a paper book :))
